Julieth Matei

Julieth dreams of becoming a nurse or a Dr. one day so she can help people. She comes from a large family in the village. Her father farms and her mother helps out at Bishop Chitemo in exchange for her younger brother's tuition. Without our sponsorship program, she would not have attended school past kindergarten, She has come a long way and now enjoys reading, playing football, and riding bikes.

We are so proud of these girls!

Joan Goodluck

Joan has a wonderful sponsor who is supporting her and her brother Johnson. She has a sweet spirit, so kind and thoughtful. Very artistic, loves to draw and paint. She wants to be a teacher one day. She comes from a very poor family who cannot afford much but her mother is very supportive of her education and grateful that she will get to go to secondary school

Omega Mmela

Omega works very hard in her classes, especially with reading and writing. Her English is not the best but it is improving. She will benefit greatly from the SEGA school's English program. Her mother is a nurse so she thinks she would also like to be a nurse one day. She is a very sweet girl and she's happy to have the opportunity to go to SEGA secondary school.

Joyce (2021) (needs a sponsor)

Very smart, getting all A’s and working very hard in school. Loves to read and write, maybe wants to be a teacher. Family is so thankful she is in school and is very supportive of her education.

Collins Martin (2021)

Collins struggles a bit and has to work harder than other kids but he is always seeking opportunities from the teachers for extra help. He has made a lot of friends at Kitungwa and is thankful to be there.

Abigail Makau (2020)

Kind and sweet girl. Active and loves the outdoors. Doesn't like school as much as some, but works hard. She has grown a lot at Sega. Not sure what she wants to do but she believes she can do anything!

Suzan Phenehas (2020)

So smart and motivated. Reads 5 or 6 books a week and carries her dictionary around to look up words she doesn’t know. Wants to be a pediatrician. Her family is very poor, and they are very supportive of her achieving her goals.

Nuru Patrick (2020)

Incredibly bright and is consistently at the top of her class. She loves Math and Science, and especially loves to read fiction books. She has so many goals for her life and we have no doubt she will accomplish them all!!

Christina Mwegoha (2020)

Grew up very poor with abuse and neglect. She is building self-esteem at Sega and is becoming a confident and outgoing young lady. Maybe a teacher or an accountant? She likes math! Sega has been really good for her.

Grace Charles Mwandike (2019)

Grace is 18 and a natural leader. She is Head Girl at Sega and works very hard in all her classes. She loves Jesus and is a strong Christian. She hopes to do something in the church one day.

Eufrasia Ngiga (2019)

The most beautiful and kind spirited girl. She is very motherly, always doting on and taking care of the younger children. Her English is excellent and she loves to study. Hopes to be a nurse or teacher one day.

Grace Freddy (2019)

Shy and giggly but opens up when she’s comfortable. Writes stories and reads books about strong women. Doesn’t know what she wants to do but works hard so she has options. Her mother is a teacher and inspires her.

We have a special place in our hearts for our first graduating class!
